Delhi: Son chops off body of father into pieces after killing

Delhi: A 22-year-old son allegedly murdered his father in cold blood and then chopped off his body to 25 pieces. Later he was arrested when trying to dispose of it along with allies. The incident reportedly took place here on Tuesday.

The victim has been identified as Sandesh Aggarwal (48) and the accused son is Aman Kumar from Shahdara.

Reports suggest that Aman first killed his father, and then went on to chop the body into about 25 pieces. He then stuffed it into four bags and attempted to dispose of them.

However, foiling his plans, the accused was arrested right outside his residence in Shahdara when he was on his way for the disposal. Three of his allies somehow managed to escape.

“Aman killed his father after an argument in Farsh Bazaar area of Shahdara,” DCP (Shahdara), Meghna Yadav said. “He told the police that his father used to scold him regularly. He killed him in a fit of rage and then chopped his body for disposal,” the DCP added.

Aman threatened to kill his father a month ago, Sandesh’s brother mentioned in his statement. He also suspects the involvement of the victim’s wife and other children in the murder.

“All of them often used to harass my brother, who owned a cosmetic shop, over property issues. A court case was already going on and Sandesh had already transferred half of his property to his wife and children, but they also wanted the shop,” Sandesh’s brother told the police.

Sandesh had one more son and a daughter with Aman being the eldest.

On the day of the murder, Sandesh’s wife went out with his younger son and daughter so that Aman could kill Sandesh, alleges the brother.

It is being suspected that the murder was committed on Monday.

Local police have initiated a detailed investigation in the matter.
