Delhi Police and West Bengal Police spread message on road safety through 'Moye Moye' trend on social media.

New Delhi: In a bid to spread awareness about road safety, both the Delhi Police and West Bengal Police have turned to humor, leveraging the popular ‘Moye Moye’ trend on social media. Using this trend, they shared videos illustrating the consequences of risky bike stunts, emphasizing the importance of following traffic rules to avoid potential accidents.

Delhi Police shared a video featuring a motorcyclist speeding along an empty road, attempting to balance the bike solely on the back wheel. Unfortunately, the rider loses control and falls.

Alongside the video, Delhi Police wrote, “Gaadi par control na khoyen, nahi toh ho sakta hai Moye Moye [Don’t lose control of your bike or it can lead to Moye Moye].”

West Bengal Police shared a video showing two individuals on a motorcycle engaging in drinking. In a risky move, the passenger attempts a stunt and ends up falling by the side of the road.

“Ektai jibon ei vabe nosto na korai bhalo. Traffic ain mene cholun o susto thakun [You have got one life, don’t waste it. Follow traffic rules and stay safe],” stated the West Bengal police in their caption.

Both posts received numerous responses from internet users, with some applauding the creativity and others appreciating the police departments for conveying such a crucial safety message.

What is ‘Moye Moye’? “Moye Moye” originates from the chorus of the Serbian song “Džanum” by Teya Dora. This audio effect gained traction among social media users, symbolizing situations that are melancholic, emotional, or notably dramatic. In Serbian, the term translates to “nightmare.”
