Class 11 boy killed by same-sex partner over ‘jealousy’ in Gujarat

A 16-year-old boy was allegedly sexually assaulted and killed by his 22-year-old same-sex partner in a fit of jealousy in Gujarat.

Gandhinagar: A 16-year-old boy was allegedly sexually assaulted and murdered by his 22-year-old same-sex partner in a fit of jealousy in Gujarat. The victim’s body was found on Friday night, December 1, 2023, on the Jamnagar-Kalavad highway.

The victim, a Class 11 student, was reportedly in a relationship with the accused, identified as 22-year-old man. The relationship turned sour when the victim developed a friendship with another person.

According to police reports, the accused, consumed by jealousy, lured the victim to an isolated spot on Thursday evening, November 30. There, he allegedly sexually assaulted the victim before murdering him.

The victim’s parents filed a missing person complaint with the police after he failed to return home on Thursday night. Acting on the complaint, police launched an investigation and tracked the victim’s last movements.

Through technical analysis and tracking, police identified the accused and his 19-year-old accomplice. When confronted, the duo confessed to the crime and took the police to the crime scene.

The post-mortem report revealed that the victim was sexually assaulted before being murdered. The accused and his accomplice have been arrested and are currently in police custody.
