CBSE Class 10th Board Exam Cancelled, 12th Postponed

New-Delhi: The CBSE board exams for Class 10th will not be held this year and postponed Class 12 exams which were scheduled for May-June in the wake of Coronavirus crisis, informs Central government.

The revised schedule for Class 12th board exams will be announced after June 1, officials said.

The results of Class 10th will be prepared on the basis of an objective criterion to be developed by the Board and if a student is not satisfied with the assessment then he/she can appear for the CBSE examination once situation of COVID19 is normal, informs Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal.

The decision was taken at a high-level meeting presided over by Prime Minister Narendra Modi today. The meeting was attended by Ramesh Pokhriyal, Education Secretary, and other government officials.

As per the previous schedule, CBSE board exams for both 10th and 12th were slated to be held from May 4 to June 7. Results were likely to be announced by mid-July.
