Candidate Uses his Statue in poll campaign To Avoid scorching heat

A candidate has lately been seen using his statue in poll campaign, reportedly to avoid scorching heat. Instead of campaigning himself, the candidate has sent his statue to do the needful. The candidate has been mentioned as TMC candidate Abhishek Banerjee. He is contesting for Diamond Harbour constituency in West Bengal.

It has been shared on Twitter by one Rishi Bagree. In the tweet, Bagree alleges that Abhishek Banerjee, MP candidate for Diamond Harbour constituency in West Bengal, allegedly used his statue to avoid the summer heat. TMC candidate Abhishek Banerjee is CM Mamata Banerjee’s nephew.  The video has gone viral in no time sending social media into a tizzy.


In the video it can be seen that with garlands around its neck and folded hands, Abhishek Banerjee’s statue is mounted on an open jeep. The statue has been surrounded by his supporters who are raising slogans in support of their candidate.

A few lauded the step as an ‘innovative’ thought while others lamented his move calling it as avoiding interacting with people.  However, this unique campaign stunt has stood out in the 2019 polls.
