7th Pay Commission: Modi Govt Took This Important Decision, Its Direct Impact On Central Employees

Amidst growing cases of coronavirus across the country, a new guideline has been issued regarding working hours and physical attendance of central employees. Special guidelines have been issued for guidelines for deputy secretary and its equivalent staff.

The guideline will also be applicable for those who are in the post above the deputy secretary. The guideline states that employees working as deputy secretaries and its equivalent posts and posts above deputy secretary will have to come to the office as before.

According to the guidelines, only 50 percent of the personnel of the level of Under Secretary and below will have to be present in the office. The working hours of the officers have been done from 9 am to 5.30 pm, 9.30 am to 6 pm and 10 am to 6.30 pm respectively. All the employees going to the office have been directed to maintain physical distance.

According to the guidelines, Divyang and pregnant women employees are exempted from going to office, but they should continue to work from home till further orders. According to Minister of State for Personnel Jitendra Singh, this guideline has been issued due to Corona crisis and shall come into effect immediately and will remain in force until 30.04.2021 or further orders.
