5 members of family die after massive LPG cylinder blast in Uttar Pradesh’s Lucknow

Lucknow: At least five members of a family were killed and four others were injured after a massive LPG cylinder blast in Uttar Pradesh’s capital city of Lucknow. The incident occurred at a house located in the Kakori region of the capital city.

According to police reports, after the cylinder blast a massive fire engulfed the house. After receiving information about the incident, police along with the fire department officials to the spot and initiated a rescue operation.

Reportedly, the incident occurred at around 10:30 pm on Tuesday night, following which a panic-like situation was created in the area. As per reports, two cylinders exploded due to a short circuit at the house, in which nine people were left injured. They were immediately rushed to the nearby hospital, however, five of them succumbed to injuries. Meanwhile, the other four are undergoing treatment in the hospital.

The cops have initiated a probe into the matter. Further detailed reports related to the matter are awaited.

Earlier, at least six persons were injured and five houses damaged due to an LPG cylinder blast in Bengaluru.

According to the police, the condition of two injured persons is said to be critical. They have been transferred to Victoria Hospital.

The other injured persons are currently receiving treatment at Yelahanka government hospital. The cylinder, stored at a residence in Lal Bahadur Shastri Layout in Yelahanka, exploded.

As a result of the explosion, five neighboring houses were damaged. The incident occurred within the jurisdiction of Yelahanka police station.

Five of injured individuals have been identified as Wasiya Banu, Salma, Shaheed, Asma, and Afroj. The identity of the sixth person is yet to be determined.
