Chhattisgarh: In a recent incident, three Naxalites were reportedly killed during an encounter with security officials. The incident took place in Dantewada district of Chhattisgarh on Sunday, reports confirmed.
Reports from reliable sources state that the encounter broke out near Dabbakunna village under the Katekalyan police station limits. Reportedly, the incident took place while a team of concerned officials were on an anti-naxal operation during the early evening hours of Sunday.
The operation was reportedly launched from Tumakpal police camp and was headed towards Dabbakunna along the border of Dantewada and Sukma. IGP Sundarraj said that the bodies of three killed Naxalites were recovered from the location.
Further he added that a significant number of explosions and ammunitions were also seized from the sport. The identity of the killed Naxallites is yet to be ascertained. Investigation into the matter is underway. More details awaited.
