Dehradun: Atleast 11 people were killed and four others sustained critical injuries after a utility vehicle they were travelling in fell into a ditch at Bulhad-Baila road in Chakrata tehsil of Dehradun district.
The state disaster management (SDM) unit of Chakrata reached the spot along with police officials to take stock of the situation,
A State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) team also rushed to the accident site to carry out rescue and relief operations, ANI reported.
The injured have been admitted to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.
Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami condoled the demise of people in the accident. He also directed the district administration to make the relief and rescue operation quick and provide immediate medical aid to the injured.
