1 killed, 17 injured in stage collapse at Kalkaji temple in Delhi
In a recent incident, one person died while 17 others were injured after a stage inside a Kalkaji temple collapsed in Delhi.
Delhi: In a recent incident, one person died while 17 others were injured after a stage inside a Kalkaji temple collapsed in Delhi. The incident took place on Saturday midnight during a ritual ceremony, confirmed reliable reports.
Reports from reliable sources state that during the midnight hours on Saturday, a “Jagrata” was taking place at the Kalkaji temple in Delhi. Well known singer B Praak was performing on the occasion. Attendees got excited and climbed up on the stage when it collapsed.
Initial reports suggested that a total of 18 people were injured in the stage collapse in Delhi. From which, one woman lost her life while being rushed to hospital in an auto. However, the identity of the deceased is yet to be identified.
Remaining injured people have been admitted to the AIIMS Trauma Centre at Safdarjung hospital. Reports tell us that some of the people have received fractures. A case against the organisers has been registered by the local police.
