Odisha CM inaugurates KISS-Emami residential school; 1,200 poor students to study freely

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Monday inaugurated KISS-Emami residential school in Remuna in Balasore district.

Patnaik inaugurated the residential school virtually. Around 1,200 poor students will study the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) courses freely.

The residential school has been constructed over 12 acres of land with a cost of Rs 50 crore. While KISS has funded Rs 36 crore, Emami has spent the other Rs 14 crore for the project.

While inaugurating the school, the CM said that education is the most powerful tool for transformation and it brings about crucial changes in our lives.

Among others, MP Pratap Sarangi, Odia Language, Literature and Culture Department Minister Ashwini Patra, Remuna MLA Sudhanshu Pardia, KIIT and KISS Founder Achyuta Samanta, Secretary to CM (5T), VK Pandian and Balasore Collector were present on the occasion.
