Sadhguru questions ‘A’ certification given to OMG 2 at special screening of film

Sadhguru praised the movie's distinctive story line and emphasised the importance of educating young individuals.

Bollywood star Akshay Kumar and the cast of “OMG 2” organised an exclusive screening of their upcoming film at the serene Isha Yoga Center in Coimbatore. The presence of spiritual leader Sadhguru added a special touch to the event. Sadhguru praised the movie’s distinctive story line and emphasised the importance of educating young individuals about managing their bodily needs.

In a notable tweet, Sadhguru also questioned the A certificate given to the film by the Central Board of Film Certification, suggesting that the film’s content could be relevant to adolescents.

Directed by Amit Rai, “OMG 2” is set to release on August 11. The film features Akshay Kumar, Pankaj Tripathi, and Yami Gautam in significant roles. One of the key points of discussion surrounding the film has been Akshay Kumar’s portrayal of Lord Shiva. Remarkably, this is Kumar’s first adult-certified film in over a decade.

After experiencing the film, Sadhguru expressed his perspective on the ‘A’ certificate, advocating for its applicability to adolescents who need education about human biology and responsible responses to bodily needs. He stressed that this is essential for creating a just and equitable nation. He wrote, “‘A’ Certificate in this case should include Adolescents. That’s where it matters most. Education about understanding human biology and responding to the biological needs of an individual in a dignified and responsible way is very needed to build a Nation that is Fair & Just to all involved.”

Akshay Kumar acknowledged Sadhguru’s input by responding to the tweet and wrote, “Thank you so much @SadhguruJV. Hoep the message reaches far and wide, in the right spirit.”
