Met Gala 2022: Ryan Reynolds’s reaction to Blake Lively’s gown transformation wins hearts
Met Gala 2022 restored its first Monday of May tradition after getting delayed for two years because of the Covid-19. The event brought back all the biggest stars on its red carpet, as they interpreted the night’s theme through their elaborate outfits and glamour. In the fashion’s biggest night, many celebrities grace the red carpet with their unique showcases, that complimented the the theme of the year, ‘Gilded Glamour.’
One among all entries, the most iconic one was of the event co-chairs Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds who walked hand-in-hand.
The actress wore a beautiful rose gold strapless gown by Versace, featuring beaded embellishment all over. The dress bore a long trail and another layer wrapped like a bow on her right waist. She paired the look with matching long gloves and crystal-encrusted dangler earrings. Moreover, she looked like a queen as she wore a tiara on her sleek hairdo.
Ryan complemented her as he looked dapper in a black tux with white vest and white bow tie. He preferred a white rose brooch to complete his look.

However, what make their appearance the most memorable one is the diva’s avant-garde gown transformation. That is not all, it seems like it was even a surprise for Ryan and his reaction is currently a favourite topic among Twitteratis.
After Blake moved up the stairs, the massive copper bow that was wrapped around her midsection was opened up to transform her gown into an aqua blue trail. The change from copper to green was an ode to the Statue of Liberty. Not only her fans but her husband too was surprised by the transformation.
A picture going viral on social media shows Ryan with a shocked expression on his face. He could be seen looking at Blake with his mouth hanging open. Some videos from the event also shows how proud the ‘Dead Pool’ actor was as he applauded the grand reveal of his lady love’s.
