Kangana Ranaut, Jassie Gill And Neena Gupta In Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari’s ‘Panga’

Mumbai: Filmmaker Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari, whose last film Bareily ki Barfi had won both hearts and awards, announced her new film on Tuesday titled ‘Panga’. The maverick filmmaker announced her film by sharing a video on micro-blogging site Twitter, featuring snapshots of the star cast including Kangana Ranaut, Neena Gupta and Jassie Gill with their family.

In the tweet, Ashwiny wrote, “My existing reality is a reflection of my dear ones’ belief in me. From the team backed by its families. Presenting #PANGA with #KanganaRanaut, @jassi1gill @Neenagupta001. Produced by @foxstarhindi | In Cinemas | 2019”

The minute long video starts with Ashwiny’s stating, “I can take risks and follow my passion because they are rooting for me every day”. This is followed by clicks of the filmmaker with her husband Nitesh Tiwari and their kids. After this comes family photos of Kangana with a quote, “It hasn’t been an easy journey. But my family give me the strength to face it all.” Later Jassie Gill is quoted saying “Wo Hain To Main Hoon” whereas Neena Gupta says, “My family is my support system, my courage, my inspiration and my trophy too!”

Produced by Fox Star Studios, Panga is said to be the story of a new-age family who challenges stereotypes and dares to dream. The film promises to reaffirm the belief that nothing is impossible for a family which laughs, cries and dreams together. Kangana will be playing a national-level kabbadi player in the movie while Jassie Gill will be seen as her husband.

A heartwarming family tale, Panga explores familial love and instinctual affection between the members of a family. It is slated to hit theatres in 2019.
