Internet goes crazy after The Academy shares clip from SRK, Kajol-starrer DDLJ

In an amazing turn of events, the Academy took to its official handle on Instagram to share a clip of the iconic song “Mehndi Laga Ke Rakhna,” from the movie “Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jaayenge” (DDLJ). The 1997 Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol starrer enjoys a massive fanbase both inside and outside the country.
This comes ahead of the 96th Oscar Awards. The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences shared the chartbuster song “Mehndi Laga Ke Rakhna” from the blockbuster movie. Along with the video, the caption read: “Shah Rukh Khan and Kajor performing the classic song ‘Mehndi Laga Ke Rakhna’ from 1995’s ‘Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jaayenge.’”
The internet went totally crazy after The Academy posted a clip from DDLJ. Netizens took to the comments section of the post to share their responses on the post.
Notably, the film, widely acclaimed as DDLJ, enjoys quite the cult status in the country. It continues to run in some of the theaters in Mumbai, even after decades of its release. Global fans of superstar Shah Rukh Khan hauled the comments section with their views on the post.
