Hrithik, Ranbir to be paid Rs 75 crore each to play Rama–Ravana in Nitesh Tiwari’s webseries
Bollywood film director, screenwriter and lyricist, Nitesh Tiwari is all set to direct a new version of the Ramayan. Produced by Madhu Mantena, the series will me made at a whopping cost of Rs 750 crores. It is heard that the two main leads decided so far, Hrithik Roshan and Ranbir Kapoor, who will play the characters of Rama and Ravana will be paid Rs 75 cr. each.
According to the sources, while Hrithik and Ranbir will recieve a huge pay check, the rest of the budget will be used into making the Ramayan as a kind of staggering epic that it has never been treated to before.
Although, cast for Rama and Ravana have been finalised, Sita is yet to be found for this ambitious project.
Earlier, the rumours of Kareena Kapoor to star as Sita in this series revolved around. However, sources has confirmed that the news was false, and was planted by the marketing team. It is also reported that Kareena, even with all her talent, doesn’t suit the part at all.
Meanwhile, Kareena Kapoor Khan’s husband Saif Ali Khan has been cast as Ravana on a project titled Adipurush. Directed by Om Raut, the film is based on the Hindu epic ‘Ramayan’ and also stars Kriti Sanon and South superstar Prabhas.
