For the first time in 5 years BTS slips in ranking, Seventeen rises to top

For the first time, BTS slipped from the top position, while boy band Seventeen has ascended to the first position.

For over 5 years, globally famous Korean pop boy band, Bangtan Sonyeoan (BTS) has constantly dominated the monthly brand reputation ranking conducted by the Korea Brand Reputation Research Institute. However, in the month of January, for the first time, BTS slipped from the top position, while boy band Seventeen has ascended to the first position.

If you think that BTS has come to the second place, then you would be wrong. NCT has dethroned the kings to third position and stand at the second position.

As per Koreaboo, the January K-pop brand reputation rankings are SEVENTEEN, NCT, BTS, RIIZE, ZEROBASEONE, THE BOYZ, Stray Kids, EXO, SHINee, ASTRO, ATEEZ, Super Junior, TVXQ, BTOB, and BOYNEXTDOOR.

Presently all the members of the boy band are serving the compulsory military enlistment of South Korea. RM and V enlisted for military on the same day, dated December 11, 2023 at the Nonsan military camp in Korea. Other two members, Park Jimin and Jeon Jungkook enlisted on December 12.

Kim Seokjin aka Jin and Jung Hoseok aka J-Hope are set to return by mid of 2024. Other members will return from military in 2025. The k-pop boy band is going to reunite in the year 2025 for which their fans are waiting eagerly.
