Chhapaak! Meghna Gulzar Shares First Picture From Deepika Padukone’s Next
Mumbai: Post the release of ‘Padmavat’ in January 2018, Deepika Padukone took a break from films to enjoy her wedding festivities and life after marriage. However, the actress is back in action and will now be seen on the silver screen once again in Meghna Gulzar’s ‘Chhapaak’.
Recently, director Meghna Gulzar shared the first picture from ‘Chhapaak’. Taking to Instagram, the director wrote, ‘Prep #Chhapaak’. Even though Deepika is not seen, the picture looks intense and intriguing with a yellow fabric having acid stains on it.
Deepika also announced her film by sharing a picture on Instagram. She wrote, “A story of trauma and triumph. And the unquashable human spirit”.
Also starring Vikrant Massey, Chhapaak is based on the life of acid attack survivor Laxmi Agarwal. Earlier, Deepika had told a leading portal, “I can’t reveal much. I can just say that we have already started preparation. In fact, we will start filming from next month.”
