BTS return as a full group for Bastions OST ‘Planet,’ fans gets emotional

BTS has now released an OST, 'Planet,' for an animation series, and fans are elated to have their favourite group back as 'together,' after months

ARMYs around the world have been eagerly waiting for their favourite septet to come as ‘one’ ever since the group announced their hiatus from group activities. Although the actual comeback has years to happen, the boys, as individual artists, have been coming with new singles, and other activities- to keep their fans entertained. However, BTS has now released an OST, ‘Planet,’ for an animation series, and fans are elated to have their favourite group back as ‘together,’ after months.

The title track of the series, featuring the entire group, was released on May 12, at 1 pm KST (9.30 am IST).

This song will serve as the theme song for the South Korean animated series Bastions. Apart from BTS, The tracklist will feature songs by Heize, BB Girls (formerly Brave Girls), and AleXa.

The last song by BTS as a group was “Yet to Come” in June last year as part of Proof. After this, the eldest member of the group, Kim Seok-Jin enlisted in the military, and ever since then, the group has been involved in individual projects. The Planet features all seven BTS members and was recorded before Jin’s departure to government service.

RM aka Kim Namjoon, the leader of the global superhit group, has written Planet. The song captures the feeling of the members and the show of their discography in the video.

As soon as the song was released, fans couldn’t contain their excitement and flocked to different streaming platforms to listen to the melody as well as express their reactions in the comment sections.

Many also took to the microblogging site Twitter to post their reactions and support the members.

For those unversed, BTS is a K-pop superband comprising seven members- RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook. The boy band is a global sensation and enjoys a huge number of fans all around the world. They are currently on a hiatus from group activities. Except for two members, Jin and J-Hope, who are currently on their mandatory military enlistment. Others will soon go on their mandatory service as well, and the group is expected to reunite on December 2025.
