Covid in Odisha: Public Health Director urges people to celebrate zero night at home

The Public Health Director Niranjan Mishra has urged the people to celebrate zero night at home to prevent spread of Covid.

Bhubaneswar: With yet another Covid positive being detected in Odisha, the number of positives has risen to 14, said reliable reports in this regard. The Public Health Director Niranjan Mishra has urged the people to celebrate zero night at home to prevent spread of Covid cases.

He further added that one of the Covid positives has recovered. The Central government has directed the State government to be in complete preparedness. The Center has further issued an SOP for Covid management.

He said that the newly appointed CDMO and doctors need to be educated about the spread and prevention of Covid in Odisha. Niranjan Mishra further added that the custom of zero night celebration is alien to the culture of Odisha and hence he urged people to stay at home and observe it.

He further asked people who have Covid like symptoms that is cold, cough and fever. He urged people to wear masks so that people do not act as carriers. Wearing masks is a good habit the doctor said. People across many countries have the habit of wearing masks which is good.
