Reliance Jio has partnered with Plume in order to provide better smart home as well as small business services in India. Telecom giant Jio will use the cloud platform offered by California-based Plume. This partnership will affect nearly 200 million subscribers of Jio in India.

For those who are unknown, Reliance Jio already uses the cloud to offer services to its customers. Reliance Jio’s popular services include JioFiber and JioAirFiber. While JioFiber is used by millions of customers in India, Jio AirFiber services have just started in the country.

Jio will be offering seamless connectivity services by deploying HomePass and WorkPass provided by Plume. While HomePass is focused on the consumers, WorkPass is focused on small businesses. The partnership with Plume will help Jio offer whole-home adaptive Wi-Fi, advanced parental control, Wi-Fi motion sensing, connected device and application performance optimisation, and much more.

Additionally, Jio will get access to Plume’s Haystack Support and Operation Suite. It will offer customer support and the operations team to analyse and identify performance-related issues and rectify them. This will increase the overall customer experience.

“Our ability to offer a tailored and highly scalable cloud-based solution to meet the needs of the Indian market will enable Jio to rapidly expand its services offering,” said Chief Revenue Officer, Plume, Adrian Fitzgerald.
