Hero MotoCorp has finally launched the Xpulse 200 4V in India. The Xpulse 200 4V comes as a new addition to the XPulse range of motorcycles. With the festive season ahead this move by Hero seems to be a good strategy. With the entry of the Xpulse 200 4V, Hero makes its grip stronger in the off roading segment.
The new XPulse 200 4V, brings more power to the already popular XPulse with two additional valves (the Xpulse had only 2 valves). The Xpulse 200 4V also enhances off-road capabilities of the bike along with commuting capabilities.
In terms of price, the new Xpulse 200 4V is priced at Rs 1.28 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). There has been a significant increase in approx. Rs 7,000 hike in price as the Xpulse costs Rs 1.21 lakh.
The key features of the Hero Xpulse 200 4V include external and internal enhancements.
Engine: The Hero Xpulse 200 4V is equipped with a 200cc oil-cooled engine that offers maximum power of 19.1 PS at 8500 rpm. The peak toque of the motorcycle is a 7.35 Nm and its comes at 6,500 rpm. The heat management on the engine gets better with seven-fin oil cooler.
Electronics: An upgraded LED headlamp is quite contrasting when compared to its predecessor. The Xpulse 200 4V gets a fully digital LCD instrument cluster which can be connected with your smartphone. Some key features that can be seen on the instrument cluster are call alerts, navigation, gear indicator, trip meters etc.
Safety features: The Xpulse 200 4V gets a 190mm suspension at the front and a 170mm suspension at the rear. The front wheel is 21 inches while the rear wheel is 18 inches. A single channel ABS is offered for safety of the riders.
Ergonomics and colour: A bunch of upgrade in ergonomics of the motorcycle include new windshield, comfortable seat, USB port for charging, luggage plate etc. Users can purchase the motorcycle in three new colour variants- Trail Blue, Blitz Blue, and Red Raid.
