Gold rate in India: Prices drop for 24 carat, 22 carat on Christmas

Bhubaneswar: The rate of gold in India has dropped in the last 24 hours. On December 25, 2023, 24 carat gold costs Rs 62,840 while 22 carat gold has been priced at Rs 57,560. The gold rates in India have dropped by Rs 650 and Rs 640 for 24 carat gold and 22 carat gold, respectively.

Coming to Odisha’s capital city Bhubaneswar, the rates of gold have remained unchanged in the last 24 hours. On December 25, 2023, 24 carat gold costs 63,490 while 22 carat gold has been priced at Rs 58,200.

Changes were also noted in the gold prices in major cities across India. They are as follows:

• Delhi: Rs 58,350 for 24 carat gold, Rs 63,640 for 22 carat gold
• Mumbai: Rs 58, 200 for 24 carat gold, Rs 63,490 for 22 carat gold
• Kolkata: Rs 63,490 for 24 carat gold, Rs 58,200 for 22 carat gold
• Chennai: Rs 52,285 for 24 carat gold, Rs 47,927 for 22 carat gold
