New Renault Kwid launched in India at a starting price of Rs 4.49 lakh

French automaker Renault has launched the 2022 Renault Kwid in India today. The new Renault Kwid is offered at a starting price of Rs 4.49 lakh (ex-showroom). The company has introduced a new variant- RXL (O) in the new Renault Kwid. The 2022 Renault Kwid is offered in two engine versions-0.8L and 1.0L.

Engine

When it comes to engine specifications, the 0.8L engine variant offers a 799cc, 3-cylinder engine that churns out 53 bhp and a maximum torque of 72 Nm. Meanwhile, the 1.0L engine is a 999cc, 3-cylinder unit produces a peak power of 67 bhp and maximum torque of 91 Nm. Both the engine variants are offered with a manual transmission as standard option. However, the 999cc variant gets an AMT version. The Renault Kwid gets a fuel efficiency of 22.25 km/l (ARAI claimed) which is very impressive.

Features

In terms of cabin features, users get an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system for better connectivity. The Kwid also gets Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity features along with voice recognition and electrically adjustable ORVMs.

Safety and warranty

In terms of safety the Renault Kwid offers dual airbags, overspeed alert, ABS with EBD, parking sensors at the rear. Renault offers a warranty of 2 year/ 50,000 km with an option for extension up to 5 years.

Colour options

The Kwid is available in two monotone colours- Moonlight Silver and Zanskar Blue. On the other hand, the 2022 Kwid Climber is offered in Metal Mustard and Ice cool White colours. Both the colour variants get a Black roof.

The 2022 Renault Kwid competes with the likes of Maruti Suzuki Alto 800, Datsun Redi-Go and Hyundai Santro in India.

Renault is offering some attractive discounts on its cars sold in India for this Month- March 2022. The French car manufacturer is offering discounts that range up to Rs 2.4 lakh and can be availed on various models. The car discounts are offered on models which include- Duster, Kwid, Kiger, and Triber.

The discount is available for customers till the end of March 2022 (March 31).
