Maruti Suzuki to launch 3 new cars this year

Maruti Suzuki is reportedly planning to launch three new cars this year including the new-generation Vitara Brezza, Alto and all-new mid-size SUV. The new Brezza will come with a bettwr design and features. Though the company has not revealed the official launch timeline of the cars, we expect the new Brezza to arrive in June and the new Alto and mid-size SUV to be introduced around the festive season of 2022.

2022 Maruti Suzuki Brezza

Maruti Suzuki is going to introduce a new-generation model of the popular Maruti Brezza SUV. It is expected to come with better interior/exterior design, features and performance. The model will receive improved styling and a updated 1.5L K15C naturally aspirated petrol engine that produces power of 103bhp and 137Nm of torque. There will be a new 6-speed automatic gearbox along with the standard 5-speed manual unit. Reports have also suggested that the carmaker might remove the SHVS mild hybrid system from the powertrain and introduce a CNG version.

The Maruti Suzuki is going to make the new-gen Brezza more safer and lighter than the previous model. The other feature of the SUV will include a larger and updated infotainment system with wireless smartphone connectivity, wireless smartphone charging, a 360 degree camera, Head-Up Display (HUD), and connected car tech. 

2022 Maruti Alto

The new-generation Maruti Alto is likely to be launched in July or August this year and the production might start by the end of June. Its going to be bigger and taller than the existing hatchback. The crossover-ish stance with flatter roofline will give it a new look. But, the company is going to retain the signature boxy look with the new model. It will be developed based on the Heartech platform that’s used in the brand’s latest cars.

The car may come with features like a touchscreen infotainment system with the smartphone connectivity, a semi digital instrument console, engine start/stop button and keyless entry. The new 2022 Maruti Alto will retain the existing 796cc petrol engine along with a new 1.0L K10C petrol unit. The hatchback might also get a CNG version.

Maruti Suzuki Mid-size Suv

As per reports, Maruti is co-developing a new mid-size SUV with Toyota that is likely to launch during 2022 festive season. The highlight of the ne SUV is that it will share its platform (Toyota’s TNGA-B), design elements, features and engines with the upcoming Toyota mid-size SUV. Though, both models will look different and retail via the carmakers’ respective dealerships.

The new Maruti SUV is likely to come with two petrol engines paired to mild and strong hybrid system. There will be no diesel engine option. The model is expected to be equipped with some advanced features such as ADAS, connected car tech, HUD (Head-Up Display), a 360 degree camera and more.
