2022 Hyundai Tucson might be a 7 seater SUV, to offer various new features along with ADAS

The next generation of Hyundai Tucson is the upcoming premium SUV offered by Hyundai in India. According to various reports, the 2022 Hyundai Tucson will be a 7 seater and not a 5 seater. Various reports have suggested that the upcoming SUV will be equipped with a lot of features including ADAS safety feature. The Hyundai Tucson is expected to go on sale in the second half of 2022 along with various changes in external and internal features.

Globally, the Hyundai Tucson is offered in two variants- standard wheelbase and long wheelbase. While the standard wheelbase gets 2680mm wheelbase, the other variant gets 2755mm wheelbase. The 7 seater Hyundai Tucson will rival the Jeep Compass, XUV 700, and Citroen C5 when it launches in India

It is quite important to note that the new Hyundai Tucson made its debut in the international market in 2020. However, the updated SUV is yet to launch in India. The 2022 Hyundai Tucson had been spotted in its camouflaged avatar while being tested and various spy images have surfaced on the internet. We are quite sure that the SUV will be equipped with ADAS safety features which include adaptive cruise control, autonomous emergency braking, lane-keep assist, blind-spot detection, and lane departure warning.

The ADAS features will first appear on the Hyundai Tucson and then we expect the features to appear on other SUVs of the company. The 2022 Hyundai Tucson will also get 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system along with a digital driver display, panoramic sunroof, ventilated seats etc. Other safety features will include multiple airbags, 360-degree camera, descent control etc.

The 2022 Hyundai Tucson is expected to be offered in petrol as well as diesel engines. We expect an AWD variant (top variant) in the 2022 Hyundai Tucson line-up. The global edition of the Tucson (4th generation) is offered in petrol and diesel engines. The petrol engines include a 2.5-litre, 4 cylinder, direct-injection engine and a 1.6-litre turbo petrol hybrid. On the other hand, the diesel engine includes 1.6-litre or 2.0-litre engine variants.

Currently, the Hyundai Tucson costs between Rs 22.69 lakh to Rs 27.47 lakh (ex-showroom in New Delhi). The SUV is offered in 5 variants which include the petrol and diesel variants. The base model is offered at Rs 22.69 lakh, while the 4WD Diesel AT variant is the top variant and costs Rs 27.47 lakh. We expect a change in the prices of the new Tucson when it launches in India.
