2022 Honda CB300R launched in India, Check price and specifications

Two wheeler manufacturer Honda has launched the BS6 model of the Honda CB300R in India. The new version of the Honda CB300R receives a price hike along with a much necessary engine upgrade. The new CB300R is priced at Rs 2.77 lakh (ex-showroom) in India. The price of the CB300R is hiked by around Rs 36,000 over its BS4 counterpart. The Honda CB300R cost Rs 2.41 lakh in its BS4 avatar. The Honda CB300R will be available in the BigWing premium retail chain of Honda.

The new 2022 CB300R gets a revision in terms of styling but the overall design remains the same. In terms of minor updates, the motorcycle gets a new LED headlamp which is integrated with LED daytime running lights. The display of the motorcycle is fully digital while the tank is muscular in design. The exhaust of the motorcycle is contrasting while the black alloy wheels, engine block protector and new appeal. The digital instrument display also gets a gear position and side stand indicator.

In terms of engine the BS6 version of Honda CB300R is powered by a 286cc, single-cyllinder, liquid cooled engine and coupled with 6-speed gearbox. The engine churns out 31 bhp of power at 9000rpm and a peak torque of 27.5 Nm at 6500 rpm.

In terms of suspension, the motorcycle gets a USD Showa suspension at the front while the rear is managed by a mono-shock suspension. The brakes of the bike are handled by disc brakes at the front as well as at the rear. While the front brake is 296mm the rear brake is 220mm. Honda offers dual-channel ABS as a standard setup in the motorcycle. Most importantly the bike gets an Assist and slipper clutch which will be helpful in seamless shifting of gears.

The Honda CB300R can be availed in two attractive colour options – Matte Steel Black and Spartan Red. Given the fact that Honda is offering CB350RS and Honda Hness CB350 in sub 400cc segment, the CB300R is going to strengthen the segment (sub 400cc) in India further.  The rising number of BigWing showrooms in India is an important factor for customers to buy Honda premium segment bikes in India.
