Tata Motors to launch several revamped SUV line up in India this festive season

Tata Motors has announced to kick off this festive season with a series of new launches in the Indian market. The automobile maker will reportedly launch as many as six new and updated products in the second half of the ongoing financial year.

The new launches expected from Tata motors are Tata Punch CNG and EV, revamped Harrier and Safari, and Tata Nexon facelift.

Tata Motors upcoming launches

Punch CNG

The company will likely start the festive season with the launch of the Punch CNG. The CNG car was initially showcased at Auto Expo 2023. The CNG-powered Punch will likely rival the recently introduced Hyundai Exter CNG. The CNG version will come with Tata Motors’ new twin-CNG cylinder set-up. The CNG powertrain will be available for all variants. The CNG-powered Punch will likely go on sale in the first week of August.

Punch EV

Tata Motors is also planning to bring the Punch EV this festival season. The EV version of the Punch will have a similar outlook as the Standard version, except for the unique alloy wheel design and some minor styling tweaks. The Punch EV will get a 360-degree camera and switchgear similar to that of the Nexon facelift. The Punch EV is likely to come equipped with Tata Motors’ Ziptron powertrain that has a liquid-cooled battery with a permanent magnet synchronous motor. However, the exact specifications of the battery and electric motor are not known yet.

Harrier and Safari SUVs facelift

Tata Motors will also introduce the updated Harrier and Safari SUVs. The production of the updated models could start sometime in September 2023. The updated  Harrier and Safari SUVs will receive front and rear changes, new alloy wheel designs and some tweaked exterior styling. Meanwhile, the interior will feature a larger touchscreen infotainment system and a full digital instrument cluster. There will be some changes to the gear lever design and a few other cosmetic updates that will help the SUVs compete against their rivals.

Revamped Tata Nexon 2023

Tata Nexon will also undergo a major update including styling tweaks that will have cues from the Curvv SUV concept shown at the Auto Expo. The updated NExon will get a new infotainment system, new switchgear, and an all-new steering wheel. Tata Motors will introduce the facelift of the petrol, diesel and EV versions of the Nexon around the same time. The EV,version will likely sport a slightly different front end from its ICE-powered counterpart.
