Tata Motors unveils Tata Punch EV, Bookings open for Rs 21,000

Tata Motors has opened the bookings of the recently unveiled Tata Punch EV in India. The booking amount for the EV is Rs 21,000. The Punch EV is based on an all-new EV architecture called the Advanced Connected Tech-Intelligent Electric Vehicle (ACTIEV). The price of the vehicle has not been revealed yet. But is estimated to range between Rs 9.50 lakh to Rs 12.50 lakh.
Colour options and trims
The micro-SUV will be available for reservation at the brand’s official website and any authorised Tata dealership across the country. You can book any of the five variants of the electric SUV which are Smart, Smart+, Adventure, Empowered, and Empowered+. Tata is offering it in four monotone shades -Seawood Green, Daytona Grey, Fearless Red, and Pristine White, along with a black roof and a new dual tone colour option of Oxide hue. However, only the Empowered and Empowered+ variants are available in this new dual-tone colour option.
Exterior Design changes
The front design of the Punch EV looks similar to that of Nexon EV with its redesigned sealed-off nose flanked by a slim connected LED DRL strip. The front bumper has a new look with vertical strakes, a silver faux skid plate, and revised headlamps. The headlamps have been redesigned with triangular shapes. It sports LED headlamps, Front fog lights with cornering function, Smart digital DRLs(Daytime Running lights).
The Tata logo at the centre will double work as the charging port inlet. The charging cables and adapters can be stored in the storage space provided under the bonnet. The rear part remains the same except for the silver skid plate. It sports a sculpted tailgate with wraparound tail lamps with Y-shaped LED elements at the rear.
Features
In terms of features, the Punch EV will sport a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, and a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment screen powered by Harman with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity. It rides on 16-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels. Tata offers it with features like Cruise control, Multi-mode regen function, ESP, sunroof, leatherette seats, ventilated front seats, Air purifier with AQI display, Auto-folding ORVMs,m and Wireless charger. Tata also offers Arcade.ev app suite with the EV.
For safety it gets six airbags as standard across all variants, SOS function, 360-degree camera, ABS, and electronic stability control (ESC), Blind-spot view monitor, and electronic parking brake with auto hold.
The battery pack options available are Medium Range with 3.3kW charger and Long Range with a 7.2kW DC fast charger.
