Kawasaki W175 Street debuts in India at Rs 1.35 lakh
Kawasaki W175 Street has been launched in India with a price tag of Rs. 1.35 lakh (Ex-showroom). It comes with alloy wheels and tubeless tyres.
Kawasaki W175 Street has been launched in India with a price tag of Rs. 1.35 lakh (Ex-showroom). The new Kawasaki W175 Street based on the W175 standard model, comes with subtle visual updates as well as a few mechanical changes. Interestingly, it is priced Rs. 12,000 less than the base W175 standard model.
The bike is available in two new colour options namely Candy Emerald Green and Metallic Moondust Grey. It features fresh graphics with an all-black theme across its cycle parts.
The new W175 Street continues to be powered by the same 177cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine that churns out 13 bhp at 7,000 rpm and 13.2 Nm of peak torque at 6,000 rpm. It is paired with a five-speed gearbox.
However, the W175 Street comes equipped with alloy wheels and tubeless tyres instead of spoke wheels and tube tyres seen in the standard model of the bike. The diameter of these wheels continues to be the same 17-inch as before. Moreover, the tyres sizes have remained the same, which is 80/100 for the front and 100/90 for the rear.
It features the basic halogen headlight with chrome bezels and a semi-digital instrument console. Kawasaki has made some changes to the seat height, and wheelbase. The motorcycle has a seat height of 786.5 mm, ground clearance of 152 mm and an altered wheelbase.
Underpinned by a double cradle frame, it is suspended by telescopic forks at the front and dual springs. The braking duties are handled by a 245 mm disc at the front, assisted by a dual-channel ABS. Moreover, the fuel tank capacity continues to be 12-litres.
The new Kawasaki W175 compete against the likes of the Royal Enfield Hunter 350 and TVS Ronin in India.
The Japanese manufacturer has said that bookings will open soon.
