PM Modi to launch Pradhan Mantri Shram Yogi Mandhan Yojana today

Gandhinagar : Prime Minister Narendra Modi will launch the Pradhan Mantri Shram Yogi Mandhan (PMSYM) Yojana here in Gujarat on Tuesday .

In the interim budget in February this year, the Modi government has announced the PMSYM yojana to ensure old age protection for unorganised workers whose monthly income is Rs 15,000 per month or less.

Under the scheme, the employees of the unorganised sector will be provided monthly pension of RS 3000 after attaining 60 years of age. The scheme is expected to benefit 10 crore workers in unorganised sector across the country.
