Kendrapara: 4 members of a dacoity gang were arrested by Kendrapara Police on Saturday. Two motorbikes, arms and ammunition, and Rs. 54,900 cash were also seized from the gang members.
Kendrapara District Superintendent of Police Niti Sekhar has identified the dacoits as S. Azharuddin(27), Khurshid Khan(20), Irshad Ali(26) and Santosh Kumar Mallick. The SP further informed that leader of the gang Ballav Mallick, is yet to be arrested.
The criminals were nabbed after an FIR was lodged by one Bibekananda Behera. The Police has also seized a 9 mm pistol, one round of live cartridge, a toy pistol, six mobile phones, a sharp weapon from the dacoits.
