Melbourne: World no.1 Novak Djokovic clinched his seventh Australian Open title by defeating World no.2 Rafael Nadal at Melbourne Park on Sunday.
The Serbian star defeated Nadal with 6-3, 6-2, 6-3 scoreline in two hours and four minutes in the final clash. With this title, Djokovic won his 15th Grand Slam title.
While the Spaniard looked out of touch from the onset of the match, the World No.1 Djokovic dominated the play and did not make many errors.
Djokovic completely outplayed Nadal and broke him twice in the second and third sets to eventually take the title.
This is the first time that the Spanish ace player lost a Grand Slam final in straight sets.
