Govt appoints Krishnamurthy Subramanian as new Chief Economic Advisor

New Delhi: The government on Friday appointed Dr. Krishnamurthy Subramanian as the new Chief Economic Advisor. Dr Subramanian will have tenure of three years.

The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has cleared his name. He is currently working as an Associate Professor in Indian School of Business, Hyderabad.

The post of the Chief Economic Advisor had been lying vacant since Arvind Subramanaian left the finance ministry after a four-year stint earlier this year.
