Sundargarh: In an unfortunate incident, a labourer has been crushed to death of a sponge factory in Bonai of Sundargarh district.
The deceased has been identified as Ajit Mahanta, a resident of Madhupur village in Kurda panchayat.
Reportedly, the incident occurred after falling on a conveyer belt. Thereafter, the family members of the deceased along with the local people staged a protest demanding compensation for next of kin.
On getting the information, Bonai police arrived at the spot and took control of the crowd.
