Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik launches ‘Janasunani portal’ and new website of Odia virtual Academy

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister on Wednesday dedicated for public the ‘Janasunani portal’ (grievances redressal portal for citizens) ) and the new virtual website of Odia virtual Academy.

Through the new Janasunani portal citizens can file complaint from anywhere at any time on online mode. One can lodge the complaint through website, mobile app, web chatbot, WhatsApp, letter, Twitter and Facebook.

On the other hand through the Odia virtual Academy non resident Odias can be linked with Odisha.

Today CM launched the two important portal on virtual mode. The Janasunani portal is of the Electronics and IT Department and the Odia virtual Academy is of the Odia language, Literature and Culture Department.

On this occasion the CM said that all these works are meant for public benefit. We are keen to provide service with the use of technology though 5T initiative. The citizens have been given power to get service without actually visiting a government office.

Since Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning like latest technology have been used in the application the CM praised the Electronics and IT Department. Accordingly, citizens can file complaint easily and the departments of the government can take quick action to resolve.

Besides lodging complaint through their social media accounts citizens can also track their complaint through this portal. Also, they will be intimated about development of their complaint through SMS and WhatsApp message.

Similarly, with the launching of the Odia virtual Academy, the CM said that as it houses several rare books, manuscripts, gazette, dictionary, and language primers for kids, it will popularize Odia literature. It will also be instrumental to link Odias living in other states as well as in foreign countries to Odisha.

So far about 2700 rare books have been digitised and saved in this portal in Unicode format.

The CM’s 5T secretary VK Pandian conducted the programme. Chief Secretary Suresh Chandra Mohapatra, Development Commissioner PK Jena and head of different departments were present on this occasion.
