Bhubaneswar: Sub-collector of Khordha has issued an eviction notice to the brother of notorious criminal Subhranshu Parida alias Chhota to evict his unauthorised house at Gurujang which has been constructed on the government land.
Chhota, who managed to escape during a raid by the Special Task Force (STF) of Crime Branch in Khordha district few days ago, surrendered before a local court on Tuesday.
Police said that more than 20 cases are pending against Chhota at various police stations in the districts of Khordha, Jajpur and Cuttack. “Chhota is also wanted in a narcotics case in Nayagarh for which the Nayagarh police has prayed the court to take him under remand,” said a police official.
Chhota was the kingpin of brown sugar peddling in Khordha and adjoining areas and have hired more than 150 youths for brown sugar peddling.
