Bhubaneswar: The General Administration (GA) Department of Odisha government on Wednesday sought details from Raj Bhawan on Governor Prof. Ganeshi Lal’s air travel bills.

Notably, Ganeshi Lal had taken Jet Aircraft Legacy 650 (VT-AOK) from Bhubaneswar to New Delhi on June 10 and back from New Delhi to Bhubaneswar on June 13 for which he had spent Rs 41,18,000. This was informed by the Raj Bhawan.

Likewise, the first citizen of the state had gone to Sirsa, his native place, from New Delhi by another chopper on June 10. He had spent Rs 5,00,000 for this.

However, the flying expenses of the Governor has not gone well as the GA department, in a letter, has requested the Governor’s Special Secretary to return the same after signing the necessary user’s certificate for further necessary action.

This apart, the letter has also asked the official to intimate the reason and circumstances for hiring of a helicopter and deviation in the approved schedule of the flight and whether approval of the competent authority has been taken for the purpose or not.
