Maoist surrenders involuntary, made under pressure claims ‘Red Letter’

Malkangiri: Demeaning Odisha Police’s tall claims that more and more Maoists have laid down their arms in recent times after being fed up with the extremist organization, the ultras have alleged that the surrenders are made under pressure from police.

As per a letter of CPI (Maoist) Kalimela Area Committee Secretary Ranadev, received by Kalinga TV on Sunday, the recent Maoist surrenders were not made out of choice rather it was done in fear of police’s growing atrocities against the innocent family members of the rebels.

In his letter, Ranadev has also claimed that Odisha Police are issuing threats to his family members and relatives in his native village continuously to make him surrender. However, the maintained that he would not lay his arms under any circumstances. Ranadev said police is busy giving wrong information to the people on the surrender and running a false propaganda and warned that those who have laid down their arms are enemy of the mass.
