Try the iOS 17 beta for free now!, Don’t need to pay $99 for Apple Developer subscription

Apple recently held it’s World Wide Developer’s Conference, where it introduced the much-awaited AR/VR headset, 15-inch MacBook, M2 chip, the latest Mac, iOS 17, and more. The tech giant has also made some interesting announcements.

Apple has made the yearly subscription to test out its latest developer beta program free. Until now, Apple used to charge $99 yearly for a developer’s account. Now, the tech giant is offering the registered developer to sign up and download the latest version of Apple software completely free of charge. Apple has announced this on it’s developer website.

That means the iPhone users who have registered in the developer’s beta program can now download the iOS 17, iPadOS 17 as well as macOS Sonoma and watchOS 10 beta updates for free. The iOS 17 update is currently only available in developers’ Beta version and the public beta is expected to arrive in July.

You can easily test out the new software(s) by simply signing up for the Apple Developer Program with your Apple ID. If you are successfully signed in, then you can be able to enroll and download developer betas without waiting for the public beta launches. You will find the beta update in the Software update section of your phone after going to through setting>> general.

However, note that the updates might not work as perfectly as you want and might crash sometimes as they are in testing phase.

The new Developer free tier also includes access to Xcode developer tools, on-device testing and beta releases as well as access to the Apple Developer Forums and Feedback Assistant for bug reporting. Apple offers paid developer accounts with a range of other perks and support as well as app distribution on the App Store.
