OnePlus 12 with quad cameras listed on India site; Launch likely on January 23

OnePlus 12 has been listed on the Indian site ahead of its launch in China. The device will likely launch on January 23. 

OnePlus 12 has been listed on the official Indian site ahead of its launch in China. The device is scheduled to launch in China on December 5, 2023. Though the company has not specified the exact launch date of the device in India yet, a tipster has revealed that OnePlus 12 will arrive in the country on January 23.

Known tipster Max Jambor has leaked that OnePlus 12 will be launching in the global market starting in India on January 23, 2023. The tipster has also mentioned that the OnePlus 12 will be accompanied by OnePlus 12R. This comes after an earlier report leaked the global launch date of the OnePlus 12 series.

OnePlus 12 specifications

The poster of the device on the official OnePlus site for India revealed it will feature a quad camera 4th-Gen Hasselblad Camera setup with 3X Periscope Telephoto sensor at the back. The design looks similar to the previous version, but OnePlus seems to have made cosmetic changes. The image suggests that the device has a marble back panel with attractive green paint on it.

Meanwhile, OnePlus China has also released a new teaser of the device. It has been revealed that the device will come in three colorways white, black, and green. It has been confirmed to feature an X1 Oriental Screen. The X1 Oriental Screen is jointly created by OnePlus and BOE. It is expected to feature a mind-blowing 4500nit peak brightness. It is the world’s first 2K display to secure DisplayMate A+ certification. The Oriental Screen will incorporates high-frequency PWM Dimming, blue light filtering, and DC Dimming to provide better eye protection.

The device has been confirmed to be powered by the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC and operate on ColorOS 14 based on the latest Android 14.

Another teaser has unveiled the camera specifications of the OnePlus 12. The device will feature a new flagship Sony LYTIA LYT808 primary rear camera sensor and a 64-megapixel periscope telephoto lens. The other details of the handset have not been revealed yet.
