Motorola might launch a futuristic smartphone that you can wear on your wrist

For those who are unknown, Motorola had previously showcased the prototype of the futuristic smartphone way back in 2016.

Motorola has recently showcased a smartphone that you can wear on the wrist. Well if you are thinking that the device is a wristband that doubles up as a smartphone, you are incorrect. Actually, it is the other way around and the device is a full-fledged smartphone not a wrist gadget. The OEM has showcased it at Lenovo Tech World ’23 (Lenovo is the parent company of Motorola).

For those who are unknown, Motorola had previously showcased the prototype of the bracelet smartphone way back in 2016 and the recently unveiled prototype is more advanced than that. The prototype smartphone can either be held like a regular smartphone or can be used as a bracelet (wearable device). The device features 6.9-inch FHD pOLED display and it be bent or shaped into different forms.

Motorola has claimed that the device has a flexibility to be used like a regular smartphone, wrapped around the wrist or even placed on a desk. The device can also be bend upwards in the top half, which makes it more ergonomic for viewing. The configuration allows 4.6-inch display to stand on its own. The transformation of the device gives it an edge over a foldable smartphone.

However, as the device is still a concept phone we should not have any high hopes from the smartphone. There are certainly multiple questions in our head and that include its durability, battery backup, pricing and value for money. We hope that Motorola reveals more details about its futuristic smartphone that can be used as a wristband/bracelet in the recent future.
