Google has announced that the much-awaited Pixel 7a will launch in India on May 11, The tech giant has also released a teaser of the phone.
Google has finally confirmed the launch date for the much-awaited Pixel 7a in India. According to Google, the Pixel 7a will launch in India on May 11, a day after its debut at Google I/O 2023, which this year is taking place on May 10.
The tech ginat has also released its first official teaser for the Indian market. The device will go on sale via Flipkart.
However, there is no word on when the Pixel 7a will go on sale in India, but we expect it to be made available soon after its launch.
“The latest phone engineered by Google. Launching 11.05.2023,” reads the teaser. The teaser has provided a sneak peek at the Pixel 7a, suggesting the phone will have a design similar to the Pixel 7, 7 Pro. It will likely feature the metallic camera.

Google Pixel 7a: Price and Specifications (expected)
Though, the company has not revealed any specification details about the devices yet. The leaked reports have suggested some features and expected price of the device. According to the leak reports, the upcoming Pixel 7a will be powered by the Tensor G2 chipset, which is also used in the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro. The phone is rumoured to feature a 6.1-inch Full-HD+ AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 90Hz.
The phone is expected to sport a 64MP Sony IMX787 rear camera, along with a 12MP ultra-wide camera and an 8MP selfie snapper. Moreover, the Pixel 7a is rumoured to pack a 4,410mAh battery. The phone is also expected to have wireless charging support. Further, the phone will retain its IP67 water resistance rating.
The Pixel 7a will most probably come in three Google Store exclusive colours, Snow, Sea, and Coral. The Pixel 7a is suggested to be priced around $499 (around Rs 40,860), which is $50 more than the Pixel 6a. The phone is expected to go on sale in the US immediately after its debut. More details will be revealed about Pixel 7a in the coming days as the launch nears.
