Bhubaneswar: A youth who was found from Nayapalli area on Friday with multiple injuries died today at SCB Medical College and Hospital. Police said that the youth identified as Harikrushan Mallick was seriously injured after he jumped from a building during a theft bid.
Police said that the youth was involved in number of cases of snatching and theft in Bhubaneswar.
“The owner of the house alleged that the youth along with his two associates has climbed the roof of the building with a motive of theft. All of them jumped from the building after the house owner raised an alarm,” said a police official.
On the other hand, his family members staying at Saliasahi slum denied the allegations againt him and alleged that he was murdered.
