Konark: Mystery shrouded over the death of a woman whose dead body was found in a naked state near the premises of an ‘ashram’, located just a stone’s throw away from the Sun Temple here in Puri district on Tuesday.
Some locals spotted the woman lying near Raja Ram Ashram in the morning. As the body was seen completely undressed with a liquor bottle lying nearby, people immediately called up police after suspecting it to be a case of rape and murder.
Police have started investigation in the case after reaching the spot and rushing the body for autopsy.
The woman who has been identified as a non-Odia who was staying near the ‘Ashram’ alone for last five years, said some locals.
