Baripada: In a shocking incident, a woman allegedly stoned her husband to death at Mahulapanga village under Kaptipada police limits of Mayurbhanj district today.
The deceased man has been identified as Tuna Beshra.
According to sources, Tuna had a war of words with his wife Champa over going to the market, following which he beat her. Irate over the beating, Champa retaliated and stoned him to death.
Tuna’s wife, who also sustained injuries in the fight, has been admitted at Kaptipada Community Health Centre (CHC) for treatment.
Kaptipada police have registered a case and started an investigation into the matter.
Meanwhile, Tuna’s body also has been sent to the hospital for postmortem.
Ms Kalinga
