Keonjhar: A woman was killed after her bike was hit by a truck at Mahabir Chhak under Joda police limits in Keonjhr district on Saturday.
The victim has been identified as Kusuma Mohanty of Sadheikala area of neighbouring Jharkhand State.
As per the report, Kusum was riding pillion on a bike driven by her nephew this morning when the mishap took place. Due to some reason her nephew lost control over the wheels of the vehicle causing the same to skid off the road and crash.
After Kusum fell off the bike post the mishap, a speeding truck coming from the rear mowed her down on the spot.
Police rushed to the spot and seized the body for autopsy after sending the injured nephew to hospital.
