Bhadrak: A woman committed suicide by consuming lice medicine over family feud in Talapada village under Tihidi police limits in Bhdrak district last night.
The deceased has been identified as Pakili Nayak, a resident of the same village.
As per the report a verbal duel erupted between Pakili and her husband Prashant over certain issues late in the night and later escalated into a heated argument. In a fit of rage over the incident, Pakili consumed lice killer medicine from a bottle kept at her home and turned critical.
The victim was first taken to Tihidi Hospital and then shifted to Bhadrak DHH for treatment but succumbed under treatment.
Police have seized the body after reaching the spot and lodged a case of unnatural death.
However, parents and in-laws of the deceased have alleged medical negligence in her death and lodged a case against the hospital authorities at Bhadrak Town Police Station in connection with the incident.
