Two girls from Odisha turn ‘saviours’ for tourists in Rohtang Pass by rescuing them from snow

Rayagada: Appreciations poured in for two girls from Odisha for rescuing four tourists who were stuck in the snow at Rohtang Pass in Himachal Pradesh recently.

One Akansha Sahu of Rayagada and her cousin sister Ayushi Sahu of Paralakhemundi had recently gone to visit Rohtang Pass on June 17 along with their family members.

Reportedly, snow began to slide under the feet of more than 150 tourists who had climbed on the snow-covered mountain. All of them tried to get off the mountain. However, two women, who are the natives of Rajasthan, were stranded on the mountain along with their two children.

When Akansha and Ayushi saw their plight they climbed up the mountain and rescued all of them. Besides, they provided heat immediately as their bodies were collapsing due to the low temperature, thus they turned the ‘saviours’ by saving their lives.
