Twin City Covid Update: Bhubaneswar reports 101 covid positive cases, Cuttack reports 8 cases

Bhubaneswar: The Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) has reported 101 new covid-19 positive cases on November 21. On the other hand, Cuttack city (CMC area) has reported 8 cases. Both the cities registered a fall in Covid cases as compared to yesterday.

According to reports by BMC, out of the total 101 positive cases detected today, 27 positive cases are quarantine cases while local contact cases are 74. The positive cases linked with earlier positive cases are 27.

The total cases in Bhubaneswar now stand at 1, 20,555 while the total recovered cases are 1, 17,915. The total death cases recorded in the BMC is 1078.  Active cases in the city are 1541.

Out of the total 8 cases registered in CMC on Sunday, 02 cases are from home quarantine, 02 local contact cases and 04 institutional quarantine cases.

Total Covid-19 cases in Cuttack city are 45,120 while the recovered cases are 44,481. The active cases today are 548.

In the last 24 hours, Cuttack city has reported 15 recovered cases informed while in Bhubaneswar 96 recovered cases were registered.

A total of 205 Covid-19 positive cases including 45 in the 0-18 years age group have been detected positive in Odisha in the last 24 hours taking the tally to 10,47,003 informed the Information and Public Relations (I&PR) Department on Sunday.

Among the 205 positives, 119 are quarantine cases and 86 are local contacts.
